ABOUT US
Desiree & Meagan | Co-Owners and Wedding Coordinators
Hi, we’re Meagan and Desiree — the mother-daughter duo behind Something Blue Planning + Coordinating, based in O’Fallon, Missouri and serving couples across the St. Louis metro area, the Illinois Metro East, and beyond.
We started this business because we’ve always loved helping friends bring their wedding dreams to life — and after seven years of planning for others, we decided it was time to make it official in 2022. Our approach is simple: your wedding, your vision — we’re just here to make it run flawlessly.
From creative ideas and timeline planning to vendor management, setup, décor, and tear-down, we handle the behind-the-scenes so you can stay present and stress-free. Our most-loved Forever package gives couples ongoing support throughout the planning process — perfect if you want help and guidance without giving up creative control. Whether you just need help making sure your hard work goes according to plan on your big day with our Keep It Simple day-of coordination package, or you’d like us to take on every little detail with our Ever After full-service planning package, we’ll make sure your wedding vision is brought beautifully to life.
Each of our couples works one-on-one with their dedicated coordinator — someone who gets to know your vision, your vibe, and your priorities inside and out. Behind the scenes, our whole team collaborates constantly, sharing ideas, solving challenges, and supporting one another to make every event seamless. So while you’ll have one main point of contact, you’ll always have the full support of the Something Blue team.
We believe transparency, peace of mind, and quick problem-solving are non-negotiables. Whether your celebration takes place in St. Louis or beyond, we’ll be there — organized, calm, and focused on creating a day that feels authentically yours, together. 🩵
Desiree is a mom of four, a grandma to six, and the heart of our wedding-coordinating duo. She’s a home-decor enthusiast, a seasonal-decorating pro, and the kind of woman who will happily hide in a closet with a Justin’s peanut butter cup after a long day. When she’s not watching her husband play ball or planning her next beach trip to Gulf Shores, you can find her browsing the clearance section at Target or making her home feel magical for the kids.
Her love for wedding coordinating began with Meagan’s wedding, where taking on all the moving pieces meant she had less room to simply savor the moment of watching her first child get married. Realizing how valuable it is to have someone dedicated to handling the details, she began stepping into that role for others — first for friends as their unofficial “lady in waiting,” and now for the couples and families who trust her with their most important day.
On wedding days, Desiree brings a warm, calming presence and a “whatever it takes” attitude. She’s the first to go above and beyond for her clients, the one quietly solving problems before anyone even knows they exist, and a walking encyclopedia of vendors, timelines, and wedding-day logistics thanks to her constant research and passion for learning. Above all, she makes everyone around her feel like an instant friend — supported, cared for, and free to fully enjoy every moment.

Meagan Schulte | Co-Owner and Coordinator
Meagan is a mom of two, a school nurse, and a wedding coordinator who loves helping couples turn their wedding dreams into reality. Off the clock, she’s surviving on dry shampoo, strategizing epic board game nights with her kids and husband, and opening their home — and their hearts — to whoever needs a place to stay, for as long as they need it.
On wedding days, Meagan thrives on keeping things calm, organized, and completely focused on the couple’s vision. She’s the type of planner who swoops in to fix last-minute wardrobe malfunctions, mend a broken bouquet, or make sure every timeline detail goes off without a hitch — all while making her clients feel supported, confident, and able to enjoy their day to the fullest.
Keagan is a mom of two beautiful boys and a collector of many creative outlets. She has an eye for design and loves helping others bring joy and beauty into their lives. In her spare time, she enjoys going on picnics with her family, creating children's clothing, and watching old Disney Channel movies on VHS. Most of all, her detail oriented mind and variety of event planning knowledge makes Keagan an amazing asset to your big day.

Lydia Perkins | Coordinator
Lydia joined the Something Blue team in February of 2025 and quickly discovered that wedding planning is the perfect mix of everything she loves—staying organized, meeting new people, and bringing big celebrations to life!
She knows how exciting (and sometimes a little stressful) this season can be because she lived it herself—Lydia married her husband on April 5th, 2025 at The Venue at Wildflower Ridge. When she’s not mapping out timelines, you’ll probably find her in the kitchen baking a fresh loaf of sourdough, sipping an iced latte by day or a glass of wine by night, or dancing with her dogs to country music.
Her absolute favorite wedding moment? Definitely the reception entrances—when the music gets loud, the cheers begin, and the party officially starts for the newlyweds. That energy never gets old, and it’s exactly why she loves what she does!
